The students took part in a practical training session at “Herba-Flora” LLC.

The fourth-year students (Group 178A) of the Faculty of Biology, specializing in “Food Engineering” under the Department of “Molecular Biology and Biotechnology,” took part in a practical training session at “Herba-Flora” LLC as part of the course "Technological Processes in the Food Industry".
The session was organized under the supervision of Associate Professor Chingiz Aliyev from the department. Together with the specialists of “Herba-Flora” LLC, he provided the students with detailed information about the process of designing technological lines used in the food and public catering industries.
In accordance with the course program, the students observed both the theoretical and practical aspects of creating technological lines, as well as the structure, operating principles, and technical characteristics of the equipment, machines, and apparatus used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
During their visit to the enterprise, the students also became acquainted with the storage conditions for plant-based raw materials, the technical means and devices used to preserve raw material quality, and the processes of packaging and transportation of finished products.
A particularly interesting part of the session was the presentation of the structural scheme of the technological line for sesame oil production from sesame seeds at “Herba-Flora” LLC.
During the visit, the company’s management and specialists provided extensive information about the design and reconstruction of technological lines, as well as the modern equipment used in the chemical analysis laboratory.
At the end of the session, numerous questions from the students were answered by the company’s staff.
The students expressed their gratitude to the administration of Baku State University and to the management and specialists of “Herba-Flora” LLC for providing such an opportunity and favorable conditions.
