Scientists of the Faculty of Biology have been included in the list of the world’s top 2% most influential scientists

In the international ranking “Updated Science-Wide Author Databases of Standardized Citation Indicators”, annually presented by Stanford University and Elsevier Publishing and recognized by the global scientific community as a reliable source, two scientists from the Department of Biophysics and Biochemistry of Baku State University were included: Professor Rovshan Khalilov, Head of Department, and Associate Professor Aygun Nasibova, PhD in Biology. This ranking is compiled with the aim of evaluating the scientific activity of researchers based on objective indicators. The assessment takes into account criteria such as the total number of citations, Hirsch index, c-score (a measure of the author’s role and impact considering co-authorship), as well as first, last, and single authorship positions.
Based on these parameters, the world’s most influential scientists are identified. Being included in this list demonstrates that the researchers are recognized on the global scientific stage and that their scientific works are widely utilized at the international level.
