On August 18–20, 2025, the First International Conference on *Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICNN-1)* was held in Karachi, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi.
At the conference, a joint research study entitled *‘Study of the effect of metal nanoparticles on the reproductive processes of fish’*, co-authored by Associate Professor Chingiz Mammadov from the Department of Zoology and Physiology of the Faculty of Biology at Baku State University and researchers from the Institute of Biotechnology of ANAS, was presented and awarded with a certificate.
The research is being carried out within the framework of the project supported by the Science Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan under the ‘Fundamental Grant Competition – 2024’ (AEF-MGC-2024-2(50)), dedicated to the ‘Year of Solidarity for a Green World.’ The study investigates the effects of anthropogenic metal nanoparticles on the reproductive processes, egg productivity, ontogenesis, and intergenerational transmission in fish, using histological, biochemical, and biophysical methods.
