Irada Aliyeva, senior laboratory assistant of the Department of Biophysics and Biochemistry at the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University, has passed away.
Irada Aliyeva was born in 1967. From 1975 to 1985, she studied at School No. 83 in Baku, and from 1985 to 1991, she pursued her studies at the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University. Between 2004 and 2008, she was a doctoral candidate at the Department of Botany at BSU and defended her dissertation on “The Mycobiota of Oil-Contaminated Soils in Absheron,” earning the academic degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences.
Since 1994, she had been working as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Biophysics and Biochemistry at BSU.
Her research focused on mycology and the study of the mycobiota of oil-contaminated soils in the Absheron region.
The staff of the Faculty of Biology expresses deep sorrow over the passing of Irada Aliyeva and extends heartfelt condolences to her family.
