An event titled “The Sound of Victory” was held

An event titled “The Sound of Victory” was held, jointly organized by the Student Youth Organizations of the Faculties of Geography and Biology of Baku State University, dedicated to the 5th anniversary of November 8 – Victory Day.
The event was attended by the faculty administration, professors, students, and guests. It began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs.
In his opening speech, Dean of the Faculty of Geography, Maqsad Gojamanov, stated that Victory Day is an eternal symbol of pride and honor in the history of the Azerbaijani people. He emphasized that the 5th anniversary of the glorious victory achieved in the 44-day Patriotic War is being celebrated with great pride and a deep sense of national unity.
Later, participants of the Patriotic War, Ilkin Agazada, a retired major of the Special Forces, and graduates of Baku State University’s Faculty of Geography, Omar Bozbakhov and Javid Ashurov, delivered speeches.
They shared their battle memories, unforgettable moments at the front line, and spoke about the power of comradeship and love for the homeland. During their speeches, the heroic veterans highlighted the importance of unity, discipline, and high moral spirit, which ensured the victory of the Azerbaijani Army.
The speakers also conveyed significant messages to the youth — to remain loyal to the Motherland, to be always ready to defend the state, and to preserve the values of Azerbaijani identity and national spirit. Their heartfelt and emotional speeches left a profound impression on the audience, strengthening feelings of pride, gratitude, and patriotism.
In the artistic part of the event, students performed patriotic dances, songs, and poetry. The stage performances reflected the spirit of victory, the heroism of Azerbaijani soldiers, and the nation’s will for freedom.
