A training session titled “Food Safety and Engineering: New Paths and Broad Opportunities for Students” was held at the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University. The event was organized with the aim of enhancing young people’s knowledge and skills in the fields of science, technology, and industry.
The Dean of the Faculty, Afat Mamməadova, noted that such meetings provide students with valuable opportunities to combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills and to become familiar with modern production processes. She emphasized that adherence to food safety and quality standards is one of the global priorities, and it is crucial for students to learn contemporary approaches in this field. The trainer, Javid Qurbanzada, Head of the Quality and HSE Department at “Azerbaijan Fish Farm LLC”, spoke about international quality management systems applied in the food industry — ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and HACCP standards. He provided information on quality control, risk analysis, production safety rules, and principles of environmental responsibility within enterprises.
The training continued in an interactive discussion format, during which students’ questions about career opportunities in food engineering, certification, and technological innovations were addressed.
