A student seminar was held at the Faculty of Biology

An educational seminar on the topic “Analytical Processes in the Clinical Laboratory and Interpretation of Results” was held at the Faculty of Biology, organized by the Student Scientific Society.
The seminar was attended by the faculty administration, academic staff, and students. The presentation was delivered by Shura Aliyarova, a third-year student of the Faculty of Biology at Baku State University. Shura Aliyarova successfully completed a 15-month clinical laboratory internship at Lab Center Clinic, where she was awarded an official “Clinical Laboratory Internship Certificate and Letter of Recommendation.”
During the presentation, detailed information was provided on the main stages of analytical processes in clinical laboratories, laboratory safety and hygiene rules, general blood and urine analysis, ESR and coagulation indicators, smear and spermogram analyses, as well as biochemical tests and their interpretation. The speaker emphasized the critical importance of proper sample collection, processing, and adherence to analytical procedures for accurate evaluation of laboratory results.
The seminar also highlighted the role of clinical laboratory diagnostics in medical practice and the importance of correct interpretation of test results for early disease detection and monitoring of treatment processes. During the discussion, questions from professors and instructors were thoroughly addressed, and the seminar was highly appreciated.
