A student of the Faculty of Biology has won the National Capoeira Cup

Fourth-year student of the Faculty of Biology, Khadija Zeynalli, achieved a successful result at the national Capoeira Cup (Azerbaijan Cup) held in Baku. The competition was jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Capoeira Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Balakhani Sports Center, on the occasion of Baku being selected as the “World Sports Capital” for 2026.
The tournament, held on February 21–22, 2026, brought together clubs and representatives from various regions of the country. Competitions were conducted in different categories among children, teenagers, youth, and adults.
According to the final results, Khadija Zeynalli was awarded first place in the 16+ professional category and was also recognized as the best female athlete of the competition.
