A seminar titled “Opportunities of Artificial Intelligence in the Application of Biological Models” was held

A scientific seminar dedicated to Science Day was organized at the Faculty of Biology, focusing on the application possibilities of artificial intelligence in the fields of biology, genetics, and healthcare. The event, titled “Opportunities of Artificial Intelligence in the Application of Biological Models,” aimed to explain the impact of modern scientific technologies on biological science to students, master’s students, and young researchers.
At the beginning of the seminar, gratitude was expressed to the Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Afфt Mammadova, and the faculty staff for their support and assistance in organizing the event. The speaker of the seminar — Gulnar Huseynli Guluzade, a master’s graduate in Genetics from Baku State University and currently working in the Research and Development Department of Smart Solutions — shared information about her professional activities and her work in the field of artificial intelligence technologies.
During the seminar, detailed information was presented about the role of artificial intelligence in scientific research, its mathematical and technological foundations, and the importance of AI methods for analyzing large volumes of data generated in science. Particular attention was given to the applications of artificial intelligence in biology, genetics, and healthcare. The presentation included real scientific examples in areas such as protein structure prediction, medical image analysis, and the interpretation of genomic data.
The main objective of the seminar was to increase awareness among students and young researchers about the application of artificial intelligence technologies in biology and other scientific fields, as well as to encourage interest in new research directions in this area. The event was met with great interest by participants, and discussions were held on the role of modern technologies in education and scientific research.
