A scientific seminar dedicated to the applications of artificial intelligence as a decision-making factor was held at the Faculty of Biology
At the Faculty of Biology, a scientific seminar dedicated to “Science Day” was organized for faculty members, young researchers, and students on the topic: “Artificial Intelligence as a Decision-Making Factor in Life Sciences: Early Detection and the Development of Hybrid Modeling Mechanisms.” The speaker was Kaushik Das, Project Director of the Assam Advanced Healthcare Innovation Institute operating in the state of Assam, India.
The seminar addressed the application domains of artificial intelligence in biomedicine and life sciences, with particular emphasis on data-driven decision-making, clinical decision support systems, and methodological approaches to medical imaging analysis.
The central focus of the presentation was the development of hybrid modeling mechanisms for early diagnostics—specifically, the integration of statistical and machine learning algorithms with physiological or mechanistic models. In this context, research and development activities related to Low-Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologies were discussed, including signal processing, image reconstruction, and model generalization capacity. Kaushik Das also placed special emphasis on the use of artificial intelligence in modeling biological processes.
The event continued in a discussion format moderated by faculty member Nigar Huseynova. Participants’ questions were addressed, and potential avenues for joint research initiatives and scientific publication collaborations were highlighted.
