A Scientific-Educational Training on “From a Single Cell to Today: Human Evolution” Held at the Faculty of Biology
A scientific-educational training titled "From a Single Cell to Today: Human Evolution" was organized by the "BSU Volunteers" at the Faculty of Biology.
During the training, Professor, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Majnun Babayev delivered a comprehensive presentation on the process of human evolution.
He explained to the participants, based on scientific facts, the long and complex path of development starting from the emergence of life on Earth to the evolutionary stages of humans.
Within the framework of the training, the emergence of primary cellular life forms, the transition from unicellular to multicellular organisms, the appearance of various hominid species, and the formation of Homo sapiens were thoroughly analyzed.
The training was conducted in an interactive format — questions from participants and volunteers were answered in detail.
Additionally, the historical development of evolutionary theory was touched upon, providing information about evidence of evolution in modern biology, human genetic evolution, and the ongoing multidisciplinary research in this field today.
