A Commemoration Day event was held at the Faculty of Biology on September 27
On September 27, 2025, the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University held an event dedicated to Commemoration Day in honor of the martyrs of the Patriotic War, organized by the Faculty’s Student Youth Organization.
In the morning, faculty members and students observed a minute of silence across the faculty in memory of the martyrs. Later, a group of students and academic staff visited the Second Alley of Honor, laid flowers at the graves of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the homeland, and paid tribute to their memory.
The commemorative event continued at the faculty with the participation of professors, teachers, students, and also those students who had taken part in anti-terror operations. The ceremony began with the screening of a memorial video dedicated to the martyrs, followed by a literary and artistic program prepared by students. Poems, speeches of remembrance, and musical performances, reflecting the heroism and patriotism of the martyrs, gave the event a deeply emotional atmosphere.
In conclusion, the Faculty leadership emphasized that the memory of the martyrs will forever remain sacred and that the young generation will continue to honor their heroism by serving the Motherland with loyalty.
